DICED has been bringing you the latest news and updates from ICE for close to three years now. The founder of the blog, Kelly Senyei, blogged her way through the Culinary Arts career-training program at ICE in Life as a Culinary Student, giving us a sneak peek into ICE’s kitchens and classrooms. Now, she is about to release Food Blogging for Dummies!

A comprehensive guide to setting up and creating a food blog, Food Blogging for Dummies is a must-have resource for anyone looking to break into the blogosphere. In the book, Kelly walks through all the technical and creative aspects of setting up a blog and creating interesting and engaging content. Drawing on her experience creating Just a Taste, she covers everything: how to identify your niche, design your site, find your voice, and take tantalizing photos. The book also covers how to optimize your blog for search, connect with social media, take your blog mobile, add widgets, and much more.

Kelly was kind enough to offer us two copies to give away. Just comment here with the name of your favorite hidden gem food blog and you’ll be entered for the chance to win. Winners will be selected randomly on May 1.

If you are looking for more info on starting your own food blog, check out ICE’s Start Your Own Food Blog class with Brooke Parkhurst. We will be releasing a new schedule in the next few weeks so check back often for new summer dates.

  1. I’m partial to hungrymommabigcity.blogspot.com, but I read http://www.tammyskitchen.com often. Her recipe bank is amazing.

  2. Of course I love Pioneer Woman Cooks, but I have also found Zoom Yummy to be quite awesome- http://zoomyummy.com

  3. I like the browneyedbaker.com

  4. As an Astorian who frequently tells her friends “the best food in New York is in my ‘hood,” I’m obsessed with weheartastoria.com and the thorough local food coverage on the blog.
